Maiora: from injuries to victory in Port de Sóller
She crossed the finish line visibly emotional. “I know age takes its toll and the young women are coming through very strong… I’ve come back from a very serious injury, but… here I am!” she said immediately after finishing.
The victory follows her second-place finish in the 100 miles at Julian Alps by UTMB in September. In Mallorca, she topped the women’s SDT podium ahead of Céline Finas and Andrea Vlasakova.
The SDT, short for Serra de Tramuntana, started in Cala Estellencs on the night of Friday 30 October with 517 runners. The 138-kilometre route, with around 5,350 metres of elevation gain, finished in Port de Sóller.
The race was part of the third edition of Mallorca by UTMB, held from 30 October to 1 November 2026 in the Serra de Tramuntana. Find distances and dates in our Mallorca by UTMB race guide.
