The Benidorm Half 2026, which will take place in Benidorm on Saturday 21 November over half marathon and 10K distances, has reached 12,000 entries. The figure exceeds the record set in the 2025 edition, which attracted 9,132 entries.

Registration remains open and the organiser, Tour-Sport Promociones Deportivas, expects at least 500 more people to sign up before it closes. Race number collection will begin on Friday 20 November, one day before the race.

Growing British participation

More than 5,000 British entrants are expected to travel from the UK for this edition. The figure is still an estimate, compared with the 4,043 British runners recorded in 2025.

That edition had 4,616 international entrants, 50.5% of the total. Participants also included 108 from Ireland, 74 from Norway, 72 from Belgium and another 72 from the Netherlands. Poland contributed 42; Italy, 38; Germany, 23; France, 22; and Sweden, 18.

From 1,600 runners in 2018 to the current record

Tour-Sport Promociones Deportivas took over the organisation in 2018, when the event had 1,600 runners across its two distances. The record before 2025 was set in 2024, with 6,500 athletes.

Of the 4,516 Spanish entrants in 2025, 1,934 came from Alicante, 42% of the national total. The remaining 2,582 came from 46 other provinces, including Valencia, with 704 participants; Madrid, with 463; Albacete, with 424; and Murcia, with 184.

Institutional and sporting support

The race is included in the RFEA national calendar and has the support in 2026 of Benidorm City Council and its Sports Department, Visit Benidorm, Hosbec, the Generalitat Valenciana and the Club de Atletismo Benidorm.

The sponsors of this edition include Olympikus, Veolia, Meliá Benidorm, Coca-Cola, 42K and Sala Marina. Sanytol, Ale-Hop, VivaGym, Grupo Aurrerá, Marco Polo, Mercalicante, Valor and Todo Trofeo are also supporting the event. Race information is available on the Benidorm Half information website.
