Villanueva de la Torre Half Marathon 2026: winners

Eduardo Callejo and Eva María Guerrero won as more than 150 adults raced across two distances.

The second Villanueva de la Torre Rural Half Marathon took place on Sunday 25 October 2026 in the town in Guadalajara province. Eduardo Callejo Mora won the men’s half marathon in 1:19:50, while Eva María Guerrero Muñoz won the women’s race in 1:50:40.

Half marathon podiums

Callejo, of the Salomon team, finished ahead of Alejandro Reina Calleja and Enrique Poyo Babiano. In the women’s standings, Guerrero shared the podium with Nicoleta Biculescu Danilov and Dori Mateos Pajuelo.

Men’s standings:

  • Eduardo Callejo Mora (Salomon): 1:19:50.
  • Alejandro Reina Calleja: 1:23:29.
  • Enrique Poyo Babiano (Club Atletismo Azuqueca): 1:30:59.

Women’s standings:

  • Eva María Guerrero Muñoz: 1:50:40.
  • Nicoleta Biculescu Danilov (Triatlón Marchamalo): 1:52:53.
  • Dori Mateos Pajuelo (Club Atletismo Azuqueca): 1:53:32.

11-kilometre results

In the 11-kilometre race, David Martínez Gil and Elizabeth Medina Mosquera claimed the men’s and women’s victories respectively.

Men’s standings:

  • David Martínez Gil (Dharma Triatlon): 44:07.
  • Samuel Martín Hernández: 44:29.
  • Marco Antonio Castillo Oñate (Club Atletismo Hellín): 45:17.

Women’s standings:

  • Elizabeth Medina Mosquera (BRIPAC): 50:15.
  • María Velasco Andrés (Sport Center Azuqueca): 1:03:22.
  • Paula Sanz Sánchez (Mafisio): 1:03:28.

Participation and organisation

More than 150 runners took part across the two adult distances. The children’s races brought together 90 children aged 3 to 14, while more than 300 spectators followed the races. In total, the event gathered more than 600 participants, spectators and event staff.

The course combined urban and rural sections. The town council organised the event, with PRYGESA as its main sponsor, in the year Villanueva de la Torre holds the 2026 European Town of Sport distinction.

The event team included 35 volunteers, 17 Civil Protection members and around ten local government representatives and municipal employees. The town council also thanked Guadalajara Provincial Council, supporting businesses, sports clubs and residents for their support.
