Puntallana Cabra Trail 2026: Yonet González and María Lorenzo win

The 15th Puntallana Cabra Trail took place on Saturday 31 October 2026 in Puntallana. Yonet González Ramos, in 4:22:48, and María Lorenzo, in 5:57:26, won the 40 km race.

The event drew 430 entrants after being postponed because of adverse weather conditions. It featured 10, 21 and 40 km routes on trails through the municipality, as well as the children’s Cabrito Trail.

40 km results

González Ramos topped the men’s podium, followed by Antonio Martín Rocha and José Raúl Durán Rosales. In the women’s race, Lorenzo, of Graja Team, finished ahead of María Yazmina Morales Arencibia and Cristina Acosta Padrón.

21 km results

Aleksander Kirzhaev, of Garafía Infinita, won the men’s 21 km race in 2:25:28. Myriam Báez Plasencia, of Kalandrakas Trail, was the first woman in 3:01:30.

Raúl Rodríguez Martín and Ana Begoña González Francisco won the 10 km races. C.D. Hilera took the top two places on the men’s podium through Rodríguez Martín and Carlos Alberto Rodríguez Brito.

Race held after postponement

The day included the Cabrito Trail for children. Puntallana mayor Víctor Manuel Guerra Hernández thanked those who worked to stage the race after the difficulties caused by the rain.

Sports councillor Diana Hernández highlighted participation in the main races and the children’s event. She also recognised the work of volunteers, safety teams and the people and organisations who supported the event.
