The Córdoba Half Marathon, which will take place on Sunday 13 December in Córdoba, has sold out again after runners on the waiting list filled the 943 places freed up by the change of date.

The 40th edition was originally scheduled for 29 November, but was postponed because it coincided with the general election. This made it impossible to coordinate and provide the security services needed for the race.

Refunds and waiting list

Following the postponement, the Municipal Sports Institute (Imdeco) introduced an exceptional refund procedure for entrants who could not take part on the new date. The places that became available were allocated to runners on the waiting list created during registration.

Start, finish and course

The race will start at 10:00 on avenida del Conde de Vallellano and finish at the Puerta del Puente. The course through the streets of Córdoba is certified and covers 21.097 kilometres.

The race will commemorate its four decades with an edition marked by the change of date and the subsequent reallocation of places.

Runners’ response

Imdeco president Isabel Albás said that “we knew the change of date would be difficult for many people” and welcomed the response: “we are very pleased with the response from runners”.

Albás also thanked participants for their trust and acknowledged the involvement of sports clubs and volunteers, as well as sponsors and the services involved in organising the race.
